September 24 Valley Unified Site Selection Committee Meeting

The Valley Unified Regional Educational Facility Site Selection Committee met on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in the Library/Media Center at Community High School in Fort Kent.  To view the WOWL Channel 16 video of the meeting, click here or on the image below. 

The Site Selection Committee will next meet on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Dr. Levesque Elementary School in Frenchville, beginning at 4:30 PM and again on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Madawaska Middle/High School, beginning at 6 PM.  Public attendance is welcomed and encouraged.

The Opportunity Wrapped in the Challenge

The opportunity to secure a modern, comprehensive, integrated future-ready school for the Upper St. John Valley has reached what many people in our region have said will be the most challenging point of the 21-step process that must be followed in order for the new Valley Unified Regional Educational Facility to become a reality -- the final selection of a site.

As is the case with any challenge, though, the final selection of a site for the proposed new school represents a tremendous opportunity for our region and our young people.
