The Valley Unified Regional Educational Facility Site Selection Committee met at Community High School in Fort Kent on Tuesday, August 27. During the meeting, the committee further narrowed the number of potential sites for the proposed Valley Unified Regional School from four to two -- one in Frenchville and the other in Fort Kent.

The Site Selection Committee will meet again on Tuesday, September 24 from 4 PM - 6 PM at Community High School in Fort Kent. A Valley Unified Education Service Center Board of Directors meeting will follow, beginning at 6 PM. Public attendance is welcomed and encouraged.

SELECTIVES = Specific, Career-Focused Electives
Through the Valley Unified Education Service Center SELECTIVES Initiative, learners at Wisdom High School, Madawaska High School, and Fort Kent Community High School now have the opportunity to engage in elective blended learning opportunities (a mix of on-line study and live, face-to-face interaction with learning facilitators) focused on specific careers or career topics that interest them as potential fields of endeavor.

Valley Unified Board Votes to Include Grades 7-8 at Proposed Regional School
